Drawn Animation

Drawn animated productions, are just like other forms of animations, because they usually mostly begin life as a storyboard, which is a script if different written images, as word as similar to a giant comic strip. All of the images allow the animation team to plan the flow of the plot and composition of the imagery. The storyboard artists will have meetings incase the story board has to be redrawn or re board before the final one is done. The story board is then given a soundtrack but its called a scratch track so it can be precisely more synchronized to the sound track.

An animatic storyboard consists of pictures, of the storyboard. This allows the animators and directors to work out any script timing issues, that are going on with the storyboard. As traditional animation is very expensive and timing consuming process, creating scenes that will eventually be edited out of the completed storyboard.
Here is a video for example.
