ident project

Evaluation - i chose to use cut out animation because i thought it would be the most fun one to do, and would look the best because you can clearly see the E4 logo and  because we designed it ourself.
The strenght of the project was the shoes at the end and the music track which was added to our ident project and the song was called "move your feet" so it went with our idea of the moving shoes.

Our weaknesses of the project was that the E4 logo could of looked a bit clearer and better overall it was a good channel ident and works well with E4 young audience.

Drawn Animation

Drawn animated productions, are just like other forms of animations, because they usually mostly begin life as a storyboard, which is a script if different written images, as word as similar to a giant comic strip. All of the images allow the animation team to plan the flow of the plot and composition of the imagery. The storyboard artists will have meetings incase the story board has to be redrawn or re board before the final one is done. The story board is then given a soundtrack but its called a scratch track so it can be precisely more synchronized to the sound track.

An animatic storyboard consists of pictures, of the storyboard. This allows the animators and directors to work out any script timing issues, that are going on with the storyboard. As traditional animation is very expensive and timing consuming process, creating scenes that will eventually be edited out of the completed storyboard.
Here is a video for example.

Koyaanisqatsi Animation

Koyannisqatsi Animation is a film that consists of slow motion and time lapse footage of cities and natural landscapes across the united states. The visual tone does not contain dialogue or vocalized narration, its tone is set by the different images and music.
In the Hopi language, the word Koyannisqatsi means "unbalanced life". it is also known as life out of balance which is a film that was directed by Godfrey Reggio, with music composed by Philip Glass and the cinematography by Ron Fricke. Koyannisqastsi was made by Reggio he was a film director and producer the first film of the QATSI trilogy.  The film is an apocalyptic vision of the collision of two different worlds, which was urban life and technology versus the environment

Heres is a koyannisqatsi video as an example.

KOYAANISQATSI, Reggio's debut as a film director and producer, is the first film of the QATSI trilogy. The title is a Hopi Indian word meaning "life out of balance." Created between 1975 and 1982, the film is an apocalyptic vision of the collision of two different worlds -- urban life and technology versus the environment. The musical score was composed by Philip Glass.KOYAANISQATSI, Reggio's debut as a film director and producer, is the first film of the QATSI trilogy. Pixilation Animation

Pixilation Aninmation is a stop motion technique, where live actors are used as a frame by frame subject in a animated film. You keep repeatedly posing while one or more frame is taken and change the pose slightly before the next frame. The actor is like a kind of living stop motion puppet. This technique is often used to live actors with animated ones in a film. For example The secret adventures of tom thumb. The term is credited to Grant Munro he made a film named pixillation available on DVD which was called cut up.

Object Animation

Object animation is a form of stop motion animation, that involes movements of non drawn objecets like toys dolls.  object animation is considered a different animation distinct from model animation and puppet animation as these two forms of stop motion. it also is often combined with other forms of animation for a better more realistic effect like the ones i mentioned above.

Cut out Animation

Cut out animation is a technique for producing animations using backgrounds cut from material like paper card stiff and fabric a cut out animation also using flat characters.  Todays cut out style is usually produced by using computers with scanned images or vector graphics. The TV series south park is a example because the first episode was made with actual paper cut outs and also charlie and lola was was made in Argentina by Quirino Cristiani.
